Resources available for National HIV Testing Week 7 Feb 2022

National HIV Testing Week starts on Monday 7 February 2022.

National HIV Testing Week is a campaign to promote regular testing among the most affected population groups in England. This helps to reduce the number of people living with undiagnosed HIV and those diagnosed late.

The campaign continues last year’s success and features celebrities and influencers promoting ‘Give HIV the finger: a finger-prick test is all it takes’.

We’re inviting organisations to participate by running campaign activities, events and promoting HIV testing and prevention services with our support.

Update on the National HIV Prevention programme

The contract for National HIV Prevention programme has been in place since 2016 and comes to its conclusion this year. Public Health England is currently progressing through the required approvals processes, with the intention of going out to procurement for the National HIV Prevention Programme shortly.

In the interim, we’re pleased to confirm that the HIV Prevention England contract has been extended until Saturday 31 July 2021, utilising the underspend from the current year to enable continuation of this important work.
