Join the spring edition of European Testing Week 2026

From 18–25 May 2026, organisations across Europe will come together for the spring edition of European Testing Week, a campaign dedicated to increasing awareness of testing for HIV, viral hepatitis and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and improving access to testing for the people and communities who need it most.

This year’s theme is “Reaching those who need it most: Testing with and for key populations”. The theme seeks to encourage efforts to ensure that no one is left behind in accessing testing and treatment.

Testing is one of the most effective ways to protect health. It helps people know their status, access treatment and care earlier, and make informed choices about prevention. Yet across Europe, too many people still face barriers to getting tested, including stigma, lack of information, cost, distance, immigration concerns, discrimination, or services that do not feel accessible or welcoming.

European Testing Week is a chance to change that.

How organisations can get involved

European Testing Week is open to community organisations, healthcare providers, local authorities, public health teams, education settings, businesses, and networks. Activities can be large or small, online or in person. What matters is that they help raise awareness, increase testing access, or support people to link into care.

Your organisation could:

  • Run or promote community-based testing events.
  • Share information about HIV, hepatitis and STI testing.
  • Distribute self-test kits or signpost people to testing services.
  • Partner with local clinics, pharmacies or community groups.
  • Host a discussion or training session on testing barriers.
  • Share campaign messages on social media using #EuroTestWeek.
  • Advocate for more inclusive, accessible and properly-funded testing services.

There are no minimum requirements to take part, any activity that supports the campaign’s aims can make a difference.

Sign up and access campaign resources

Organisations can now sign up for Spring European Testing Week 2026 to become an official campaign partner.

The European Testing Week website also has free campaign materials to help you promote your activities, including posters, logos, templates and social media assets. You can also read the 2026 theme statement for more information about this year’s focus.

If your organisation provides testing for HIV, viral hepatitis or STIs, you can also help people find your service by registering it on the European Test Finder. Add your testing site here: Register your testing site.

Be part of the movement

European Testing Week shows what is possible when communities, services and decision-makers work together. Every conversation, every test, every referral and every outreach session helps reduce stigma and brings us closer to ending HIV, viral hepatitis and STIs as public health threats.

This May, join hundreds of organisations across Europe taking action.

Sign up. Share the message. Support testing.
